We offer a 10% profit margin between our buying and selling prices for ordinary and scrap gold items, whereas auction houses frequently charge between 20 and 40 percent in fees.  Online trading platforms charge about 15% commission so the shop offers a competitive level of commission.

Auction websites can show coins with a 50 to 100 percent profit margin.  These ‘offer prices’ can be unrealistic and excessive.  Some online sellers may overprice coins to achieve a large profit from an uninformed buyer.  This high price creates an unrealistic value for a possible sale in the real world.  Buyers need to look at many sold prices to assess coin values properly.  The selling prices, on auction websites, are often lower than the asking prices.  The average profit margin, on an auction site is close to 15%.  Therefore, it is unrealistic to sell a coin for some of the asking prices that are displayed online.
